2001 Elderton Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

A generous rich ripe Barossa Cabernet. color> Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is a sniffing pleasure with distinct Cabernet notes of spice, cedar, vanilla and blackcurrant. The palate has the sort of weight that one comes to expect from Barossa reds, generous and mouthfilling flavour profile. Dark chocolate, blackcurrant and spice flavours emerge with a distinctly peppery back palate. Fine dry tannin structure. Perfect balance followed by a long aftertaste of dark chocolate, spice and liquorice.
