Followers of this label will know it to be one very tasty peaty whisky, produced at the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. This was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2017 from cask 11605.

Tasting note: [20ml sample] Brawny coastal notes, salted rice crackers and smoked chocolate combine with sweet sooty aromas and flavours. Exceptional length with the salty / sooty / lanolin / cured meat theme seemingly never ending. One of the saltiest, peatiest Ledaigs to date? Non chill filtered. 48.4% Alc./Vol. 355 bottles.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Slightly burnt toast with melted butter, and barley sweetness with ash and soot Palate: Spectacularly smoked, cured bacon, more sweetness developing to a peated warmth Finish: A lingering finish – wisps of sweet smoke, bonfire and just a hint of rock salt.
