This wine has all the ingredients for a very successful outcome. Produced from 17 year old vines which were cropped at 1.5 tonnes per acre. The wine was fermented on wild yeast and unfiltered at bottling in order to maintain maximum flavour profile.

Winemaker Rainer Brelt has produced a complex multilayered wine. Deep brick red colour with brick red hue. Complex nose with aroma of strawberry, spice, beetroot and cherry over an earthy game and stalk end note. The palate displays excellent depth of flavour with remarkable persistence. Flavours of cherry, spice and stalk emerge followed by hints of aniseed and cherry. Fine grained tannins followed by a long aftertaste of strawberry, cherry, spice over a medicinal end note.
