2001 Coldstream Hills Merlot

Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is impressive, quite perfumed revealing an infusion of liquorice, mulberry, spice and cedar. The palate is equally impressive and displays good weight and excellent length. Flavours of dark chocolate, cedar, liquorice and mulberry are evident. Velvet mouthfeel with very fine soft tannins, followed by a very long cedar, liquorice and plum aftertaste.
