2001 Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

An outstanding wine. Bright pale gold colour. The nose displays distinct notes of hazelnut and yeast lees over a spicy end note. The palate has distinctive secondary flavour profile, with fig, yeast lees and spiced oak forming the backbone, over a cashew back palate. Wonderful complexity – mouthfilling with creamy texture followed by melon and fig aftertaste.
