Charles Cimicky’s father, KARL CIMICKY established the seventy five acre vineyard in 1973 as well as creating a fantasy castellated building surrounded by formal gardens - he named the vineyard KARLSBURG. Today Charles has enhanced the reputation of the estate, with a concerted effort towards organic farming methods. His motto “Good wine begins from the earth” reflects his respect for the environment.

A BIG JOOSY BAROSSA RED. Opaque black crimson colour with purple hue. The nose shows good varietal and regional character with notes of ripe blackcurrant, plum and vanilla emerging. The palate has generous weight with typical Barossa ‘joosy’ flavour. Plum, spice, vanilla, liquorice, blackcurrant and mocca flavours emerge. Fine grained soft tannins followed by a spice, plum and cherry aftertaste.
