2001 Chateau Lezongars L'Enclos Merlot Cabernet

The blend is composed of 68% Merlot and 32% Cabernet. Maturation has taken place in new and one year old French oak for a period of 10 months.
Very deep crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of confectionary, cedar and blackcurrant, followed by a hint of liquorice and mulberry. The palate flavours are well balanced, with the Merlot being dominant. Mulberry and spice flavours are to the fore. Moderate length. Warm, spicy back palate with fine dry tannins persisting.
