2001 Chateau Canon Saint Michel

The colour of this wine is outstanding. Opaque black crimson colour with deep purple hue. The nose is impressive, powered by primary fruit aroma. Lifted notes of violets, blackcurrant and ripe plums. The palate is more restrained, showing typical Cabernet tight knit structure, with fine grained yet quite firmish tannins. Flavours of cedar and blackcurrant emerge. Aftertaste of cedar, liquorice and leather with dry tannins persisting.
