Made by winemaker Adam Marks, from fruit grown opposite his old ‘stomping ground’ of St Huberts.
Medium body, brilliant crimson mauve colour. Excellent nose, with distinct Troncais oak character over layers of toast, cherry and spice. The palate has moderate weight, but shows excellent power and length. The Troncais oak whilst obvious, is well supported by spicy cherry flavours. Excellent length, with classic Pinot Noir power wave emerging. Fine grained soft tannins, followed by very long aftertaste of plum, spice, cherry and liquorice. Cellar 3-4 years (2004-2005).
