2001 Brand's of Coonawarra Chardonnay

Premium fruit for this wine was sourced entirely from McWilliam’s vineyards in the famous Coonawarra district in South Australia. The 2001 vintage conditions in Coonawarra were characterised by mild, dry weather and moderate temperatures. The grapes were harvested at full maturity in late March.

Pale yellow colour with straw green hues. Notes of succulent peach, nectarine, marmalade and buttered toast with complex nutty French oak. Full-bodied with strong primary Chardonnay stone fruit characters; toasted honey, good acidity and a smooth mouthfeel. The wine features lingering walnut oak and subtle malolactic flavours. A wine to enjoy now or over the next five years.
