2001 Barratt Merlot

This is the first vintage of this wine – the vines being planted in 1997. Medium body, crimson colour with crimson hue. Aroma of stewed fruit followed by a hint of leather and mulberry. Moderate palate length with flavours of stewed fruit and leather. Fine grained tannins. Stewed fruit aftertaste.
