2001 Barossa Valley Estate E&E Sparkling Shiraz

A superb wine for the Christmas day table and a perfect companion to roast turkey. The base wine is deep crimson with deep crimson mauve mousse. The bead is very fine and very persistent. Top notes of ripe plums, prune, earth and leather emerge. The palate delivers excellent weight and creamy textured mouthfeel. Flavours of liquorice, plum and leather emerge revealing ripe Shiraz fruit flavours over a raisin cake background. Clean finish, with very long aftertaste of ripe plum, leather, prune and spice.
