2001 Barnadown Run Shiraz

Winemaker Andrew Millis is producing excellent wine consistently from his Heathcote vineyard. The style is more elegant, showing refinement with layers of complexity rather than the full on fruit bomb approach. Both styles are equally valued and worth cellaring.

Very deep crimson mauve colour with deep mauve hue. Perfumed nose with aroma of violets, spice and blackcurrant followed by hint of new leather and spice. On the palate, flavours of stewed plum and spice emerge with a blackpepper background. A refined flavour profile. Fine grained tannins followed by a very long spice plum and blackpepper aftertaste.
