2001 Badger's Brook Chardonnay
A very successful Badgers Brook. Bright, deep straw colour. Aroma of biscuit and yeast lees, followed by fig and melon end notes, demonstrating good varietal intensity. The palate flavours show more complexity than the wines from previous vintages. Flavours of yeast lees and biscuit emerge over a layer of grapefruit, hazelnut and biscuit. Excellent balance, crisp acid finish, followed by a long biscuit, yeast lees aftertaste.
Cellar 2-3 years (2004-2005).
