Tasted: 6 September 2003An excellent example from the island that was embroiled in ‘secret womens business’. Opaque black crimson colour with mauve purple hue. The nose is impressive with lifted aroma of spice, ripe plum, blackberry and liquorice. Mouthfilling palate, with very pronounced flavours of liquorice and black pepper supported by generous ripe fruit. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by a long aftertaste of plum, spice, liquorice and black pepper.
Cellar 2-3 years (2005-2006)
First Tasted: 23rd July 2003A youthful red. Opaque black purple mauve colour with distinct liquorice spice and blackberry nose. This is a young red that has not spent a lot of time in oak. The palate is mouthfilling with big ‘joosy’ primary fruit flavour dominated by blackberry with liquorice and blackpepper backpalate flavour. Fine grained tannins followed by a long blackpepper liquorice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2006-2007)
