2000 Jim Barry The McRae Wood Shiraz - Museum Release

Matured for 14 months in 15% French oak and 85% American oak. Opaque deep dark red black colour with deep dark brick red hue. The nose displays lifted scents of ripe plum jam, liquorice and dark chocolate followed by some vanillin characters and a touch of spice. The palate still retains plenty of richness and has taken on a plush silky smooth mouthfeel. Ripe dark plum, liquorice, a hint of mint, earth and vanillin spice flavours fill the palate. Velvet smooth tannin structure. Long aftertaste of black plum, liquorice and vanillin spice with a touch of earth on the finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
