1999 Yarra Burn Shiraz

Yarra Burn is based in the Yarra Valley, but has been quick to recognise the outstanding qualities of Heathcote Shiraz. The Shiraz wines from Heathcote are highly sought after by collectors world wide for their intense colour & concentration of flavour. It is the 500 million year old Cambrian Soil which gives the wines their unique qualities. This wine delivers outstanding flavour.TASTING NOTES: Totally opaque black crimson colour, with a subtle earthy Rhone like top note, followed by aroma of liquorice and plum with a strong blackpepper endnote. The palate is full bodied, with very pronounced blackpepper flavour over layers of blackberry and spice. Fine grained tannins. Perfect balance, followed by an exceptionally long blackpepper aftertaste. A TOP WINE. Cellar 3-4 years. (2004 – 2005)
