1999 Wood Park Meadow Creek Chardonnay

An excellent Chardonnay, inspired by the winemaking style of Giaconda. Bright straw colour. Complex nose with distinctive barrel ferment aroma, followed by high toast yeast lees with almond end notes. On the palate the wine delivers a complex layered range of flavours which includes nuances of roast almonds, hazelnut, flor yeast lees and biscuit with a touch of citrus on the end. Crisp acid finish, followed by toasted oak and nut aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
