1999 Wolf Blass Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay
Notes sourced from Wolf Blass
Tasting Note: The 1999 Vintage is a pristine pale straw colour with an even fine bead. The bouquet is a complex blend of fine fruit and bready characters balanced with yeast lees development. The palate is elegant and creamy with intense strawberry pinot characters typical of quality pinot noir from the Adelaide Hills.
Varieties: 60 % Pinot Noir, 40 % Chardonnay
Cellaring: Up to 2 years
Viticulture: Traditional Champagne varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were selected from premium cool climate vineyards. The majority of fruit was sourced from the Adelaide Hills with small parcels from Langhorne Creek and the Eden Valley. The emphasis in quality fruit selection produces a range of base wines reflecting a full fruit flavour spectrum while ensuring the fruit had excellent acid levels necessary for premium sparkling wine.
