Willow Bridge is a new vineyard located not far from the coast at Bunbury. The winemaker is well known to wine collectors – Rob Bowen, formally winemaker at Plantagenet and more recently Capel Vale. The Willow Bridge collection of wines is very well made, with the star being the 1999 Shiraz.Very deep, crimson mauve colour. Outstanding nose with very distinctive lifted blackberry and blackpepper aromas over a vanillin oak background. The palate reflects the qualities of the nose and displays mouthfilling blackberry and liquorice flavours with a very pronounced blackpepper back palate. Fine grained tannins, followed by a very long blackpepper, blackberry aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
