1999 Tisdall Grand Reserve Merlot

Hardly a Grand Merlot! Deep crimson colour. Aroma of spice, mulberry, stewed fruit and a touch of liquorice. The palate is relatively short, with flavours of cinnamon, vanilla with plum and stewed fruit evident, followed by a sour cherry back palate. Firmish dry tannins. Aftertaste of leather and stewed fruit. Cellar 2 – 3 years. (2003 – 2004)
