The John Hancock Shiraz is sourced from the oldest vines that are grown by the Stanley Brothers. The wine has been matured for eighteen months in French and American oak. Deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Aroma of vanilla, spice, earth, liquorice and stewed plum. The palate flavours are relatively short with stewed fruit flavours dominant. Fine grained tannins followed by a rather hard aftertaste.
Cellar 2 - 3 years (2004-2005).
