1999 Skillogalee The Cabernets

This wine is made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. The wine was matured for 24 months in French and American hogsheads. Very deep crimson colour, with deep crimson hue. Aroma of plum and stewed fruit, followed by nuances of tea leaf. On the palate, flavours of stewed fruit and plum, followed by a hint of tea leaf and liquorice. Fine, dryish tannins, slightly bitter on the finish with stewed fruit aftertaste.
