1999 Rosemount Estate Traditional Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Petit Verdot

Opaque crimson colour with deep crimson edges. On the nose aroma of ripe plums, spice, blackcurrant, earth and truffle with liquorice end notes. Mouthfilling palate with excellent weight and flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice and spice. The 1999 is not as voluptuous as the 1998 was, but none the less a very creditable wine. Fine but firmish dry tannins, very good balance, warm back palate flavours with aftertaste of blackcurrant, plums and vanilla. Cellar 3-4 years.
