1999 Rosemount Estate Balmoral Syrah

Balmoral is the high point of Rosemount red winemaking, and the fruit is sourced from McLaren Vales top growers. Very deep crimson black colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose, with aroma of violets, spice and cedar followed by a blackberry endnote. The palate is leaner than the nose suggests, with flavours of white pepper, cedar, liquorice and blackcurrant emerging. Fine grained tannins, followed by a long spicy black pepper, blackcurrant, cedar aftertaste.
