1999 Roc de Cambes Cotes de Bourg

Very deep dark red black colour with very dark brick red hue. Top notes of violets and blackcurrant are overlaid by some leathery characters followed by some cigar box, earth and spice showing good perfumed lift. Relatively light and elegant the palate flavours are drying out with subtle blackcurrant present alongside some earth, leather, cigar box and spice. Drying chewy tannins cut things short with an aftertaste of earth, cigar box, leather and spice.
