Winemaker, Mike Peterkin has built a cult following for his wines, particularly his Chardonnay.Medium body, brick red colour. The wine has been left unfiltered in order to maximise its flavour profile. The nose is perfumed, with distinct varietal aroma of cherry and strawberry, over spicy toasted oak end notes. The palate displays good varietal flavours, but without the expected power that the nose heralded. Velvet smooth tannins, soft acid finish, followed by an aftertaste of strawberry jam, spice and toasted oak. Cellar 1-2 years.
