1999 Parson's Flat Shiraz Cabernet

An outstanding red, made under the watchful eye of Sparky Marquis - former winemaker for Fox Creek. Very deep crimson colour. The nose is a pleasure to sniff, perfumed with aroma of liquorice allsorts, spice, blackberries and blackcurrants. No shortage of ripe fruit on the nose or palate. Mouthfilling palate, with distinct blackpepper flavours over a vanilla, spice and plum background, with the pepper flavours persisting onto the back palate. Rich, ripe, full bodied texture, supported by fine grained tannins. Excellent balance followed by very long aftertaste of vanilla, liquorice, blackcurrant and blackpepper. Cellar 4-5 years.
