Amongst winemakers, Drew Noon is highly admired. Amongst winelovers and collectors he is a cult figure, yet the man himself remains unaffected. The 1999 Reserve Shiraz was made from 35-40 year old vines grown by the Borrett family at Langhorne Creek..

Totally opaque black purple crimson colour. Superb lifted nose – a wonderful sniff, filled with aroma of vanilla, blackpepper, blackberry and fresh liquorice strap. The palate structure is powerful and builds momentum rapidly. Just as one expects the power wave to subside, another develops and quickly takes its place, filling the mouth yet again. Huge flavours of vanilla, blackpepper and blackberry emerge followed by fine grained dryish tannins. Perfect balance, followed by a very long aftertaste of plum, vanilla and blackpepper.
