1999 Mount Langi Ghiran Langi Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

This wine is past its best. The wine was matured in 70% French oak and 30% American. Medium body, brick red colour with brick red hue, showing considerable bottle development. Top note of stewed fruit, followed by leather, cedar, earth and cigar box. The fruit on the palate is drying out. Flavours of stewed fruit, cedar and cigar box emerge, overshadowed by fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of leather, stewed fruit and cedar.
