1999 Mitchelton Print Series Shiraz

The Shiraz for this wine has been sourced from selected low yielding mature vineyards located throughout central Victoria - 71% is from Mitchelton Estate, with the balance being 18% Heathcote and 11% Northwood (Goulburn Valley). The wine was matured in French oak of which 40% was new for a period of 20 months, followed by extended bottle ageing before release.
Opaque crimson colour with crimson hue. Perfumed nose, quite delightful with aroma of plum, vanilla and blackcurrant evident. The palate displays flavours of spice, plum, vanilla and mocca over a blackpepper background. Excellent length and depth. Fine grained tannin, followed by a very long mocca, vanilla, spice aftertaste.
