First Tasted: October 2002
Brilliant golden colour, the wine is showing considerable bottle age. The nose is very pronounced, with aromas of butterscotch and yeast lees over a background of hazelnut and spice. The palate is broad and full bodied, with strong flavours of yeast lees, hazelnut and biscuit over a butterscotch background. The acidity is still holding up with a hint of grapefruit and lemon emerging, followed by a very long aftertaste of butterscotch, yeast lees and hazelnut.
