1999 Mastrojanni Brunello di Montalcino

The wine has been made from the Sangiovese Grosso grape. Brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. The nose displays notes of spice, old leather, prunes and stewed fruit followed by a hint of violets. The palate has moderate length, yet manages to provide relatively mouthfilling flavours of leather and spice followed by a hint of stewed fruit. Dry tannins. Aftertaste of leather, stewed fruit, cedar and spice.
