1999 Longleat Murchison Mill Shiraz

Murchison, Victoria, AUSTRALIA
$19. 99
Bottle
$239.88 Dozen
Cellar: 3 - 4 Years (2004-2005)
Closure: Cork

Whilst the ‘farmyard’ character of the 1999 Longleat Cabernet has been held in check, and actually contributes complexity to the wine, the 1999 Shiraz tips the scales too far, leaving the ‘animal’ qualities of the wine to totally dominate the palate. Very deep crimson colour. The nose displays aroma of earth mint, leather and farmyard, with the farmyard notes being quite pronounced. On the palate, the earthy qualities continue to dominate over a spice and mint background. The palate is lighter than the nose suggests. Fine grained tannins soft earthy, farmyard aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
