This wine consists of a blend of 80% Pinot Noir grown in Margaret River and 20% Chardonnay grown at Manjimup. The mousse is impressive with good creamy colour and quite persistent. Very fine, persistent bead – an impressive start to the wine. The base wine has a delightful apricot gold colour. Distinct nose of very strong biscuit, yeast lees and almonds showing good yeast autolysis. Creamy texture, with superb flavour of winter strawberries and nougat. Clean acid finish. Long nougat strawberry aftertaste.
