1999 Ingoldby Shiraz

Another 6 months in the bottle will improve this wine considerably. Very impressive colour, of very deep crimson and mauve, heralding a wine of considerable promise. The nose displays intense, young Shiraz aromas with ink, ripe plum, liquorice and a blackpepper end note. Again, the palate is very youthful with strong blackpepper, spice, ink and liquorice flavours, but without complexity at this stage. Fine grained, dry and lingering tannins, which need time to adjust and settle down. Long aftertaste of ink and liquorice. Cellar 2-3 years.
