1999 Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz

Eighty year old vines have produced a magnificent concentrated expression of Eden Valley terroir. Aged for twenty one months in new and seasoned American & French hogsheads. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. A superb sniff, perfumed with aroma of vanilla, confectionary, cedar and spice, overlayed by an earthy end note.
Totally mouth filling palate. Rich, ripe, concentrated Shiraz flavour. Classic Henschke with complex layers of leather, plum, spice, earth and blackpepper. Perfect balance, velvet smooth tannins, followed by an exceptionally long aftertaste of vanilla, confectionary, plum and earth over a peppery finish. An outstanding Mount Edelstone.
