An excellent follow up to the 1998 wine. Bright pale straw colour. Outstanding nose with classic barrel ferment aromas. Yeast lees and cashews over subtle hazelnut end notes. The palate is a touch lighter than the 1998, but none the less displays strong flavours of hazelnut, biscuit, butterscotch and bitter almonds. Excellent length and concentration of flavour. Perfect balance, clean acid, followed by long aftertaste of grapefruit, citrus, biscuit, nut and almond. Cellar 3-4 years.
