1999 Eltham Vineyards Cabernet Merlot

This wine is made from a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot, and has spent 18 months in French oak. Medium body, brick red colour with brick red hue. The colour is prematurely advanced. The nose reveals leafy vegetal aroma, followed by an old leather end note. The palate is short, hard and has persistent leafy vegetal flavour. Firm, dry tannins.
