1999 Eldredge Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine has been made with a blend of 87% Cabernet and 13% Shiraz, and matured in American oak for 24 months. Deep brick red colour, with brownish crimson hue. Aroma of leather and spice with notes of prune, stewed fruit and confectionary. On the palate flavours of sour cherries emerge over a stewed fruit background. Dry, firmish tannins, followed by a leather, earth and sour cherry aftertaste.
