1999 Edwards & Chaffey E&C Shiraz

Very deep crimson mauve colour. The nose is impressive, with aroma of spice, liquorice, vanilla, pepper and plum. Lighter palate weight than the 1998, but with flavours of plum and stewed fruit flavours, and just a hint of unripe fruit on the back palate which also appears in the aftertaste. Fine grained tannins, followed by aftertaste of spice, blackpepper and stewed plums. Cellar 3-4 years.
