Barossa Valley, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$34. 99

$419.88 Dozen

The 1998 Dutschke St. Jakobi was a blockbuster, whereas the 1999 vintage is more stylish. Very deep dark crimson colour with mauve crimson edges. Lifted nose, filled with aromas of spice, blackberries, plum and vanilla followed by liquorice all sorts end notes. The palate flavours remain generous, and reflect the qualities of the Barossa Valley very well. Full bodied, with excellent weight and depth, displaying layers of ripe cherry ripe, chocolate and spice, followed by a blackpepper back palate. Perfect balance, fine grained tannins, followed by long spice, vanilla and liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 5-6 years.
