1999 Dromana Estate Chardonnay

An excellent vintage on the Mornington Peninsula. Bright straw colour. Excellent aroma displaying considerable complexity. Butterscotch, yeast lees, citrus, melon and a touch of tropical fruit as an end note. Impressive barrel ferment character. On the palate there is further complexity with flavours of hazelnut and walnut, interlaced with grapefruit, yeast lees and toasted oak. Excellent balance and persistence with long aftertaste of hazelnut, melon and spicy oak. Cellar 2-3 years.
