Very deep crimson colour. Restrained nose, with aroma of earth, spice and toasted oak over a confectionery end note. The palate displays good concentration with flavours of cherry and spice, followed by an anise backpalate flavour. Fine grained, dryish tannins, excellent balance, followed by raspberry, liquorice and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3 - 4 years. (2004 - 2005)
