1999 d'Arenberg Olive Grove Chardonnay

A very well made wooded Chardonnay. Bright straw colour. Subtle aroma of butterscotch, yeast lees, fig and melon with distinct layers of barrel ferment character. On the palate, flavours of toasted almond and yeast lees with the nutty flavours being dominant. Good weight and complexity with melon and nut flavours dominating. Clean finish, followed by nut, yeast lees aftertaste.
