1999 Cobaw Ridge Shiraz

Deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Medium body. The nose is superb with lifted top note of spice, violets and blackcurrant. The palate does not fully deliver on the wonderful expectations of the nose. Flavours of plum and stewed fruit emerge with a hint of earth. There is some redemption as the white pepper flavours click in on the back palate and continue to run through the wine on the aftertaste. Fine grained soft tannins.
