Bright crimson colour with mauve edge. Medium body. Aroma of violets, floral raspberries, spice and liquorice. The palate flavours start to emerge slowly and build to reveal flavours of earth, spice, liquorice and tar. Fine grained firmish tannins, very good balance, followed by an aftertaste of stewed fruit, ripe plums and liquorice. Cellar 3-4 years.
