1999 Chateau Leamon Reserve Shiraz

An exceptional Shiraz from Chateau Leamon. Crimson black colour. The nose is superb - no holding back the intense spice and blackpepper aroma, which is followed by notes of vanilla, plum and liquorice all sorts.The palate has great concentration of flavour, but without the 'body bulk' that one finds in the Barossa or McLaren Vale. The pronounced, blackpepper flavours run right through the palate and create a powerful finish, lasting long into the aftertaste. Perfect balance, with very fine tannin structure. Cellar 3-4 years. Stocks are extremely limited.
