1999 Chain of Ponds Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Bright pale watery colour. Aromas of ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit with a subtle confectionery end note. The Semillon appears to be the dominant component, although it is far from being assertive, as can be the case with many wines of this blend. On the palate the flavours are a touch dilute with tropical fruit and unripe gooseberry dominant. Soft acid finish followed by a citrus, tropical fruits aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
