Production: After harvest, fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures that never exceed 33°C. The wine was delicately pumped over the cap for 24 days before undergoing Malolactic fermentation mostly in barrique. Following Malolactic fermentation, the wine was placed in oak barrels of which 40% were new and the remainder were 1 to 3 years old. Bottling took place more than 12 months later.
Characteristics: Rich ruby red in colour and a generous bouquet with pleasant fruit aromas. The palate is fresh and full with hints of ripe berries and violets. A Velvet palate refined with a subtle hint of wood.
Serve: 17-18 degrees Celsius
Try it with: Roast white meats or big rich bean and pasta soups.
